Humanoid actuators & joint motors for sale
Quasi-direct-drive actuators, joint modules, and full limb assemblies — the parts that wear out first.
Actuators are the single most replaced component on any active humanoid, which makes the secondhand market for them genuinely useful. When evaluating a used actuator, the numbers that matter are peak torque, the drive type (quasi-direct-drive units are the modern standard for legs), and whether the driver board and encoder cable are included — a bare motor without its electronics is a much harder integration job.
Match the actuator to your platform before anything else: mounting flange, voltage, and communication protocol (CAN, EtherCAT, or proprietary) all have to agree. A 120 Nm unit is leg-grade torque; arm joints typically need far less. If you're repairing rather than building, a complete limb assembly — like a full leg with hip, knee, and ankle — is often cheaper and faster than sourcing individual joints.
Pricing is all over the map because supply is thin: expect a few hundred dollars for small arm-grade units up to low four figures for high-torque leg actuators. 'Never installed' spares command a premium and are worth it — you skip the entire question of wear history.

Buying guide — FAQ
How do I know an actuator is compatible with my robot?
Match mounting flange, supply voltage, and communication protocol (CAN, EtherCAT, or proprietary). For repairs, the safest path is the exact OEM part number from your model's manual.
What torque do I need for a leg vs an arm joint?
Leg joints on full-size humanoids need roughly 100+ Nm peak; arm and wrist joints need far less. Check your platform's spec sheet — undersized actuators overheat and fault under load.
Should I buy a single actuator or a full limb assembly?
For repairs, a complete tested limb assembly is usually faster and cheaper than rebuilding joint by joint. For custom builds, individual actuators give you design freedom.
What does 'quasi-direct-drive' mean?
It's a low-reduction-ratio drive design that makes joints backdrivable and torque-transparent — the standard for modern humanoid legs because it enables compliant, efficient locomotion.
